Protect the Right

At the Minnesota capitol today for an energy hearing and Earth Day rally. Most time spent at such events is standing about.
During today’s stand about session I spent some time with his flag, from MN’s 1st Volunteer Infantry of the Civil War. Carried in the battle of Bull Run, it’s been on display at our state capitol since Nov. 30, 1861.
In the banner the eagle carries are the words “May God Protect the Right.” It seems appropriate in its call. We should hope our nation deserves to carry such a flag, and that we remain on the side of god’s protection. But we should not assume such.
